The benefit is hosted in memory of Joanne E. Roberts, the mother of Board member Justin Roberts. Joanne was a beloved mother, wife, and friend. She dedicated her life to research in pediatric speech and hearing sciences at the University of North Carolina. In addition to her research, Joanne and her husband, Barry, were active members of the National MS Society working tirelessly in support of finding a cure.
